How to distinguish power supply in monitoring project

Power supply: This is a device that converts other forms of energy into electrical energy and is commonly referred to as a power supply or power adapter. Security power supply: The security power supply is a power adapter designed and manufactured for security electronic products. It has small ripple and long service life. DC plug for camera power supply: standard usually accepts 10*5.5*2.1 insert: length*outer diameter*inner hole diameter, mm] Optical transceiver power supply DC plug: standard generally accepts 10*5.5*2.5 [insert: length*outer circle diameter*inner hole diameter, mm] Plug structure DC: unidirectional line, parallel multi-headed line.

Power supply classification

1. Power classification

Linear Regulated Power Supply, AC Power Supply, Inverter Power Supply

(1) Linear regulated power supply:

Linear regulated power supply can be divided into transformer type linear regulated power supply and switching type linear regulated power supply according to customization. Transformer linear regulated power supply: The common feature is that zener diode of power device operates in linear region, and regulated output depends on voltage drop between zener diodes. Due to high static losses of control tube, a large heatsink must be installed to dissipate heat. In addition, since transformer operates at mains frequency (50 Hz), it is very heavy. This power supply has advantages of high stability, extremely low ripple, and easy multi-channel output ramping. The disadvantage is that it is large, heavy and relatively inefficient. There are many kinds of such stable power supply, which can be divided into regulated power supply, regulated current power supply, and regulated voltage and current (bistable) power supply.

Switching linear regulated power supply: There is a type of linear regulated power supply other than transformer linear regulated power supply, that is, switching linear regulated power supply. Its circuit types mainly include single-ended flyback, single-ended forward, half-bridge, push-pull, and full bridge. Its fundamental difference from a linear power supply is that its transformer does not operate at an industrial frequency, but at frequencies from tens of kilohertz to several megahertz. The functional lamp does not work in saturation region and cutoff region, but works in an on-off state, which is why switching power supply got its name. The advantages of switching power supply are small size, light weight, stability and reliability. The disadvantage is that, compared to a transformer-type linear regulated power supply, ripple is larger, typically less than or equal to 1% VO (p-p), and at best can be less than tens of mV (p-p).

(2) AC power supply:

Usually refers to a voltage or current whose magnitude and direction change periodically at any time. The AC power standard in my country is 220V, 50, 50Hz, while standard in Japan and other countries is 110V, 60, 60Hz. The plugs and sockets for power supply are also different, and pattern of AC power change over time is also different. Different forms of alternating current have different applications and effects. The AC sine wave isI am most widely used.

(3) Inverter power supply:

Usually refers to a device that converts low voltage direct current into high voltage or low voltage alternating current. The inverter power supply usually has its own battery, and computer city purchased UPS power supply is one of inverter power supply. But it comes with a small battery and computer can only work for a few minutes or ten minutes after computer is turned off. Basically, in event of a sudden power outage, continue to supply power to computer. We have time to save the unsaved data.
