Hello everyone, I'm Lao Zhao. Generally, there are two types of common large screens, one is LED backlit large screen and other is LCD large screen. The difference between them is obvious. In previous video, I shot with all assembly videos of LED large screen. In today's video, let's take a look at process of assembling a large LCD screen.
Large LCD with 3.5mm bezel
Whether it's an LED screen or an LCD, purpose of our connection is to combine small screens into large screens. Thanks to debugging, all small screens are merged, and displayed result looks like one screen. An important parameter for display effect of large LED screens and large LCD screens is size of seam. The smaller seam, more screens between each screen and screen, and better display effect. Of course, smaller seam, higher price.
The common sizes of LCD splicing screens are 46 inch, 49 inch, 55 inch, 65 inch and so on. Depending on size of seam, there are 5.5mm, 3.5mm, 1.7mm, 0.8mm and other specifications. There are also products on market called 0 seams, but it is impossible to actually achieve 0 seams. Which product to choose mainly depends on our use cases and customer needs.
Compared to LED bonding, LCD bonding is easy. Its core is video controller. The video controller used depends on number of large screens you will be connecting. This time we used 9 pieces of 55 inches. Large LCD screens are connected in one piece, so a 4K high definition video splitter with 1 input and 9 outputs is used. Some friends may ask, what is difference between LCD screen used for splicing and TV we are watching? In fact, there is essentially no difference. The LCD screen here is also a TV in fact, and it can also be considered as a monitor. It's just that screens used for splicing are slightly different in interface.
1 input, 9 outputs, 4K video controller
Input refers to video content we want to play, which goes to 4K controller via HD HDMI and then connects to 9 LCD screens via a splitter. In addition, shields are connected between LCD screen and LCD screen for transmitting signals via network cables.
First install bracket on finished back panel. In most cases, we will use hydraulic brackets to install LCD screen, which is convenient for maintenance after installation. Once power and HDMI wiring is complete, remember to arrange HDMI and power lines neatly and tie them with cable ties. Then you can proceed to install LCD screen.
Installing hydraulic bracket, press forward, press screen down to exit for service
After installing LCD one by one, you can connect it to your laptop for testing. When there is no debugging, our 9 screens will display same content repeatedly, so we can see at a glance what it looks like. on nine computers. Then we need to use a special large screen LCD splicing software to splice 9 screens into a large screen, or splice 9 screens in a picture-in-picture style. It is not difficult, mainly with large screen splicing software. I won't go into details with you here.
Alignment after installing 9 large screens
The key to debugging LCDs is alignment and alignment. To keep edge joints of nine screens straight both horizontally and vertically, more aligned joints are, better overall display effect will be.
