The magnetic lock works on principle of an electromagnet. After electrification, as long as there is a small current, a large magnetic force will be generated. Once access control system has identified right person, magnetic lock will lose its magnetic power to open door.
After using magnetic lock for a certain period of time, some problems may occur due to various reasons. What should we do in case of these failures? Common magnetic lock failures and solutions shared with you.
1. The magnetic lock makes a loud sound when door is closed
a. Check if rubber gasket is installed;
b. Check end of iron plate, if screw is too loose;
c. Check if distance between magnetic lock body and suction cup is correct.
2. The iron plate cannot be sucked tightly
a. Check if power and voltage of power supply at output 1A/12V/24V has decreased;
b.Check if there are any foreign objects (such as dust, rust, foreign objects, etc.) on surface of magnet.
3. The iron plate of magnetic lock needs to be adjusted frequently
a. Check if iron plate is equipped with pins;
b. Check if there is a rubber gasket on iron plate;
c. Customers are advised to apply "screw fixer" to screws.
4. After suction of iron plate, a slight vibration is felt
a. Check whether main surface of magnetic lock is fully attached to iron plate and there are no foreign objects, or try to loosen iron plate;
b. Check if voltage and current are sufficient;
5. Delay function invalid
a. The "delay adjustment" of magnetic lock starts timing after power is turned on, and not after door is closed;
b. The magnetic lock delay is 0, 3, 6 and 9 seconds. Check your settings and make sure time is set to 9 seconds.
6. Once turned on, LED glows a little brightly and can't be sucked out
Check if there is enough voltage to power electromagnetic lock (should supply 1A/12V).
7. After switching on, red LED is always on, and green one is off
The induction element of magnetic lock may be damaged and needs to be replaced.
8. Two-door magnetic lock does not disassemble after a certain period of use
Two-door magnetic lock consumes a lot of power, check if there is enough power (is it sufficient for required current and voltage of two-door electromagnetic lock, or is there any line loss).
9. No controller action
Check if "output" pin of controller is correct.
The above are nine common problems with magnetic access control locks and how to solve them. In real-life conditions, specific problems need to be analyzed in detail.
