Whether you're new to industry or have been in industry for a long time, if you're in business of developing intelligent solutions, drafting is first step in design process. How do you process drawings?
Step 1. Review drawings
Civil engineering drawings and electrical drawings (fully including floor plan, general floor plan, and general basement plan of each building on floor) must have civil engineering drawings. Second step: clean up drawings
The first way is to do this as soon as you get blueprints. The second is to clear (grid and dimensions are all cleared), this behavior is also very stupid, why do you say stupid, first undamaged design, send an electronic version to Customers, customers want to know where your design is, print it, and others will want to know where your design is.
It is necessary to clean up drawing provided by customer to only one or two or three layers (in short, no more than five layers)
Drawing preparation:
1. Enter la hotkey in CAD to enter layer management as shown in image below:
Set all light bulbs, little suns and locks to fully open states
2. Set layer 0 color as gray (251, 252, 254 is a valid color value) and close layer manager after confirmation.
Save drawing and open it again.
3. Enter "laytrans" command using keyboard shortcut to open following dialog box.
Don't panic, click "Download" under empty box on right, if you don't know where it is, look at red box in picture below
A dialog box pops up asking you to choose, don't know what to choose? Select image you want to open (underline three times: path must be sequential, path must be sequential), and click "Open" after selecting picture. Become next image

Select Layer Conversion Manager interface after opening
Did you notice anything else? The right side of this layer converter has changed from empty to many layers, right
Keep clicking on layer 0 in box on right to convert. Then follow steps shown in picture
After matching points, all layers on left are omitted, and field with layers on left becomes empty
Then, when following dialog appears, make no mistake, remember to select only conversion as shown below
When this step is reached, it's time to assemble computer configuration. Depending on computer configuration, number of layers and drawing size will vary.
After layer mapping is complete, is your drawing white or gray? If it turns gray, it means that previous settings are completed and it turns white (as shown below),
Messy, some are missing, if they didn't turn gray then you didn't set layer 0 to gray in original drawing, and some drawings are missing, don't be nervous, you don't want lost ones, you should be happy.
Since some layers still can't be fully mapped to a layer and have their own colors, so at this point you need to LA, go into layer manager, and then set all colors of rest of layers to grey, make sure to exit layer manager , at this point all layers are grayed out.
Enter hotkey PU to clear everything as shown in the image below.
When dialog box appears, select Clear All.
After cleaning, look again, how many layers are there? It will not exceed five layers, if it does, start over
One more time. At same time, see how many M are in original drawing? How many M is current drawing?
Finally, delete unnecessary drawings and PU again, and work will be completed after clearing layers.
Step 3. Separate layers according to system
It simply means that no matter how many subsystems there are in this project, you can create as many layers as you want, and color of each layer does not have to be same, and then each subsystem is designed and drawn in layers of each subsystem.
Step 4. Use Excel to count number of products in each subsystem at each level.
Step 5: Create a project description, general project drawings, system diagrams, and large type diagrams
Step 6. Review drawings together
Drawing peer review is divided into internal peer review and external peer review. The goal is to identify errors in your design drawings, such as design errors, omissions, misconfiguration, etc. After joint verification, according to opinions and suggestions of joint review, Let's change drawing again and confirm it to other party after modification.
Step 7. Calculate and budget
Work on design part is basically completed at sixth stage. The sixth stage is to apply it to small companies. If there is only one or two projects, you need to cooperate with colleagues from budget department to calculate calculation. If there is no budget department, then budget is yours. If there is, then seventh part is budget.
Eighth: Printing drawings
Because drawings or white drawings you designed are in electronic version, they can be clearly seen in different colors, but printed drawings or white drawings cannot be clearly seen, so you will have to deal with this in this step. See steps
CTRL+P is print keyboard shortcut to open the image below
Replace everything but gray (grey value 251-254) in Table View and Table View with black. The goal is to print. The color of design layer is darker than color of basemap to make printout clearer.
After creation is complete, newly created style is automatically selected and then printed to see if it's more legible than one you printed directly after designing.
